CPNH harmonizes wholesale electricity procurement and retail customer engagement
Wholesale electricity procurement: purchasing bulk quantities of electricity from different sellers (e.g., ISO New England markets, energy suppliers, generators). A portfolio of energy resources and contracts is actively managed for risk using hedging strategies to protect Community Power Aggregations (CPAs) from market swings.

New Hampshire cities, towns, counties, and other partners are working together to form CPNH, a locally governed public power entity to provide wholesale electricity procurement services on behalf of individual Community Power Aggregations (CPAs).
CPNH will support individual CPAs to launch and retain control over electricity rates, portfolio content (e.g., percent renewables), and surplus revenues. CPAs may also choose to implement various retail customer engagement strategies.
